The fourth installment of the highly popular novel series The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo has a writer, its Swedish publisher, Norstedts, announced earlier today.
David Lagercrantz will be writing the new novel, which will tell a new story about the characters of Lisbeth Slander and Mikael Blomqvist.
The book is set to be released in August of 2015, BBC reported.
The original creator of the series, Stieg Larsson died at the age of 50 back in 2004 and had not completed work on the fourth novel in the series.
Head of publishing at Norstedts, Eva Gedlin spoke to the Associated Press about how this novel will be an original work and will not contain anything from the fourth novel that Larsson had been writing before his death.
The book trilogy has sold over 75 million copies in over 50 countries. The first novel was also made into a movie in the United States staring Daniel Craig, Rooney Mara, Christopher Plummer and Stellan Skarsgård.
