At the Academy of Country Music Awards April 3, Nick Jonas joined country singer Kelsea Ballerini on stage for her song "Peter Pan," and it was going pretty well until Jonas' guitar solo.
Let's refer to it as the guitar solo heard around the world. For those 20 seconds, Jonas' knowledge as a musician went into questioning.
Twitter had a field day, bashing the "Close" singer's guitar skills to the point that one user even made a YouTube video to teach people the world's most painful guitar solo.

So what exactly does Jonas have to say about all this madness? "S**t happens." And by his emoji use in his tweet, it's safe to assume that even he finds the ridicule to be a little funny.
We're all human.. And shit happens sometimes. But whoever made this... Truly genius. ???? pic.twitter.com/QP1ei102MF

One Twitter user was onto something with this suggestion. And maybe, just maybe, it could have saved their performance. At least Ballerini seemed happy with the chance to sing with him.
Is it too much to hope for Nick Jonas in green tights playing Peter Pan for his ACM Awards performance with @KelseaBallerini ?
