Len Goodman leaving 'Dancing with the Stars' as judge after 20 seasons

Len Goodman has announced he’s leaving Dancing with the Stars as a judge after 20 seasons. He’s been with the show since its season premiere 10 years ago.

The show’s executive producer, Rob Wade, confirmed Goodman’s exit from the show after he mentioned it many times throughout the years.

Goodman is also a judge on the show’s UK counterpart, Strictly Come Dancing, so he’s leaving due to his commitment to that show as well as personal reasons.

"Len will not be returning as a judge this season on Dancing With the Stars due to his schedule as a judge on Strictly Come Dancing in the UK and the birth of his new grandson," Wade told Us Weekly.

Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli have all served as judges since the beginning of the show. They added one of the retired pros, Julianne Hough, as a judge in Season 19.

"He still might be involved in the season at some capacity, but we will have to wait and see," Wade added.

They will not hire a permanent replacement, and will instead feature guest judges in Goodman's place.
