Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose is being accused of drugging and gang raping a woman who says she used to date him.
TMZ reported that the woman, only identified as Jane Doe, is suing the NBA star claiming that he and his friend, Ryan Allen and his manager, Randall Hampton, drugged and sexually assaulted her.
The plaintiff alleges that she started dating Rose in 2011 and while at his Beverly Hills home in 2013 the men put something in her drink. She then claims that she was able to leave the house but later Rose, Allen and Hampton broke into her apartment and gang raped her.
The accuser said she waited years to file the lawsuit because she was “ashamed” about the alleged incident.
A spokesperson for Rose called the suit “outrageous” and said that the claims are “completely false” and without merit.
Some of the athlete’s fans also thought the allegations were ridiculous and took to social media to defend the 2010-11 league MVP.
