Everyday Taylor Swift's friendship squad seems to be expanding and yesterday the group added two very esteemed members, Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan.
The new members additions came after both McKellan and Stewart did dramatic readings of Swift lyrics. Stewart did a reading of "Blank Space" on NPR and McKellan took on "Bad Blood." Stewart posted the readings and asked Swift via Twitter if they could join the now famous squad.
So @IanMcKellen recited Bad Blood and I did Blank Space on @NPRAskMeAnother. May we join the squad, @taylorswift13? https://t.co/liKBfSzIaU

Swift responded by saying that McKellan and Stewart are ultimate squad goals.
Thanks for reciting my lyrics, @IanMcKellen and @SirPatStew! You've made my day. You two are ULTIMATE Squad Goals: pic.twitter.com/pJZY6T5Lq8

Without missing a beat Stewart wrote back, "OMG I DIE!!! (no really, I might. I'm old.)"

Swift's 1989 tour has been a showcase for all of her squad members. She has featured Lily Aldridge, Lena Dunham, Gigi Hadid, Hailee Steinfeld and the entire Women's Soccer Team on stage during her performances. Will Stewart and McKellan appear on the 1989 stage soon?
