Retired figure skater and former Olympian Michelle Kwan is set to join Hillary Clinton’s campaign and will be working out of her Brooklyn headquarters.

The Associated Press noted that Kwan’s role in the campaign will be speaking on issues that are important to working families.
When asked about getting on board with campaign the 34-year-old said that she is "really excited to join the team."
Kwan, a nine-time U.S. Champion and two-time Olympic medalist, is no stranger to politics. In 2006, then-Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice named her as a public diplomacy ambassador. Her position as an envoy continued under the current administration and she worked with Clinton when she was still the Secretary of State.
Kwan’s husband, Clay Pell is also involved in politics. He is grandson of the late U.S. Senator Claiborne Pell and in 2014, he ran a campaign for the Democratic Party nomination for Governor of Rhode Island. However, he lost to State Treasurer Gina Raimondo.
Clinton’s formal kickoff campaign rally begins on Saturday.
