The Houston Texans were one of 25 NFL clubs scheduled to begin organized team activities on Tuesday, however, those workouts were canceled due to the extreme weather that has hit the area.

The team announced the decision via Twitter and also tweeted that the Go Texan Store will be closed. The OTAs are set to resume on Wednesday and the store is expected to reopen then as well.
As previously reported, Houston as well as many other parts of Texas and Oklahoma were battered by powerful holiday weekend storms which caused major flooding and power outages. According to the National Weather Service, between 6 and 10 inches of rain fell in the region on Memorial Day.
The torrential rains also left some fans who attended the Rockets and Warriors Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals stranded at the Toyota Center until early Tuesday morning.
So far, the severe weather has been blamed for the deaths of at least four people and at this time, several people remain unaccounted for.
Most schools in and around Houston were also closed or delayed on Tuesday.
Elsewhere in the NFL, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson will miss Tuesday’s OTAs because of a personal matter. And, Cleveland Browns safety Tashaun Gipson, who has not yet signed a restricted free agent tender, will not be present for his team’s workouts.
