DJ Khaled has hinted at Cash Money Records being in some serious trouble during an interview on Power 105.1′s The Breakfast Club, where he confirmed he has left the label.
The real issue Cash Money is facing is with Lil Wayne, but in recent months, the label has lost several of its stars. Their biggest names are still Drake and Nicki Minaj, who haven’t left.
With a monumental fight going on between the record’s co-founders, Lil Wayne and Birdman, DJ Khaled was asked who he would side with if they were to go their separate ways and that’s when he dropped the bombshell.
“I’m not signed to Cash Money at all. I’ve been off for a minute,” he said, adding he considers both Wayne and Birdman family.
He said of their disagreements, “I pray for the best” but wouldn’t comment on their feud.
Rapper Bow Wow has also confirmed he left the label, saying “No bad blood though! All love...” He also confirmed he’s working with Snoop Dogg and Jermaine Dupri again.
Tyga also left the label in recent months.
