Australian actress, Nicole Kidman is set to make her return to the London stage after a 17 year absence.
BBC reported that Kidman will be returning to the stage for the role of scientist Rosalind Franklin in the U.K. premiere of Photograph 51, which will be directed by Michael Grandage.
Rosalind Franklin was the only woman who was involved in the discovery of DNA'a double helix. When the discovery was published, Franklin's name was left out of the history books. It was only years after her death that she was given credit for the discovery which took place in 1953.
The play will be opening in the middle of September and concluding on November 21, 2015.
Contact Music reported that Kidman first appeared on the London stage back in 1988 David Hare's The Blue Room. She received critical acclaim for her performance.
