Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp A Butterfly will be spending a second week at the top of the Billboard album charts. The album sold over 123,000 copies in its second week.
Billboard added that this is the highest debut ever for Lamar. He has not only been dominating the physical sales space but online as well. His album broke streaming records on Spotify and is number four on the iTunes charts. The album was only on Spotify for one day before it was streamed over 9.6 million times.
Contact Music reported that Lamar's album out sold the runner up, the soundtrack to Empire by almost double.
Lamar is continuing his reign internationally as well. His album reached the No. 1 spot on the U.K. charts, dethroning Sam Smith's In The Lonely Hour off of the top spot.
Lamar also just released the music video for his single, "King kunta."
