Shawn Mendes attended the iHeartRadio Music Awards and couldn't help but talk about his excitement about being an opening act on Taylor Swift's upcoming 1989 world tour.
During red carpet interviews Mendes was excited about the time he would be spending on the tour with Swift, FoxNews.com reported.
“I can’t wait. It’s going to be so good,” said Mendes. “She’s the best person in the world, so I am very excited."
Mendes will be going out on tour along with Vance Joy who is also opening for Swift. He will start the tour on May 22nd at the LSU Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Along with joining Swift's tour Mendes is also preparing for his album release. His new effort Handwritten will be available on April 14th. "I worked very, very hard on the album. It’s actually come together very quickly so I am excited to see people’s reactions," said Mendes.
