Kit Harington would like to stop being objectified by fans

Game of Thrones star Kit Harington would appreciate if he could stop being objectified and doesn't like when fans put him on a pedestal.

Harington was asked about his new lead man status and being called a hunk by Page Six and he responded by saying that it's actually demeaning. "It really is, and it's in the same way as it is for women. When an actor is seen only for her physical beauty it can be quite offensive," said Harington.

He went on to say that being idolized by women wasn't the reason he joined the acting business. "In this position you get asked a lot, 'Do you like being a heartthrob? Do you like being a hunk?' Well, my answer is, 'That's not what I got into it for.' "

People reported that Harington plays Jon Snow on Game of Thrones which is about to premiere it's fifth season on HBO. The season five debut will be taking place on April 12th.
