Top 10 moments from 'Criminal Minds' episode 'Hero Worship'

Criminal Minds this week saw the team going after a bomber who caused an explosion in an Indianapolis coffee shop that led to seven lives lost. A hero emerges from the bombing and the team must protect him and his family while also doing their investigative work. They get the case since there was another bombing at a school and they want to see if there is a connection.

As the case continues, however, there is more to the store than we previously realized. The hero in the case, Allen Archer, lands in the hot seat as we find out there may be another bomber the team needs to look for in order to save more lives.

While this is going on, we see Reid is still deeply affected by the death of Gideon. He is seen playing a game of chess by himself while Rossi shows concern for the young man. It was good to see the show still dealt with Gideon’s loss instead of putting it on the backburner and we got a view into how Reid was coping. Here are top ten moments from “Hero Worship.”

4. Interrogating Archer

After Reid and Morgan discuss the evidence of Archer crying in the car and appearing to know what to do when he realized something was wrong with his vehicle, they find evidence that he had gone through Grant’s handbook on explosives, as he was an explosives expert as a soldier. Hotchner and Kate interrogate Archer, finding out that he had been living under Grant’s shadow and that he wanted to be a hero in his wife’s eyes. He hadn’t meant for the explosion to be as bad as it did in the coffee shop, but it happened because of the gas line behind where he placed the bomb. They also discover he is not the school bomber.
