Carolina Panthers coach Ron Rivera and his family are OK after firefighters responded to a fire at his South Charlotte home on Monday morning.

Pro Football Talk reported that it took more than 50 firefighters over an hour to get the blaze, which damaged the upper level of the house, under control.
The Riveras were sleeping when the fire broke out, but awoke to smoke detectors going off and were able to get out safely.

The fire occurred just two days after his team celebrated its 26-17 playoff victory against the Arizona Cardinals in the divisional round.
The Panthers won the NFC South despite have a below a below .500 record. Now, the team must travel to Seattle to face quarterback Russell Wilson and the Legion of Boom.
