Joe Cocker, a singer known for covering The Beatles’ music and his natural energy and passion for making beautiful rock music, has passed away at the age of 70 after a battle with lung cancer. Cocker was known for such songs as “You’re So Beautiful” and “Up Where We Belong.”

E! News noted the singer was on the 100 Greatest Singers list for Rolling Stone at number 97 for 2008. Many celebrities have already tweeted their sorrow at his passing, including his friend Ringo Starr.
