2014 has been an odd and interesting mix of news here at TheCelebrityCafe.com. From odd news, to celebrity feuds, photo leaks, lifestyle changes, murder-for-hire and more, 2014 has been an action-packed year. Here are some of the highlights from the year, based on what readers read most.
Justin Bieber. Between his on-again, off-again relationship with Selena Gomez, the continuous run-ins with papparazzi and drugs, and photo leaks.
However, it's his fans, the Beliebers that took the limelight this year. We're going to take you back to January when Justin Bieber's 'Beliebers' boycott CW's 'Supernatural' after Jared Padalecki accuses him of paying off Lil Za to say drugs were his.
Daniel Tosh and Rob Dyrdek. In a heated exchange on Twitter, Daniel Tosh of Tosh 2.0 and Rob Dyrdek host of the MTV web clip show, Ridiculousness battled again on their show's similiar content. Dyrdek took the battle to Twitter where the two continued the exchange for the world to see.
Young QC This story topped the list of truly awful things that happened this year. Back in January, Chicago rapper Young QC put a hit out on his mother. He was accused of hiring two of his friends to help him stage a home invasion and kill his mother. Once she was dead he cleaned $90K out of her bank account, which is what led police to suspect him.
Abby Lee Miller. And proof that drama doesn't end when cameras stop rolling on reality stars, Abby Lee Miller was sued by cast member, and dance mom, Kelly Hyland. Hyland accused producers of setting up situations that led to the raging arguments she and Miller had.
Jenette McCurdy. Photo leaks were abundant this year, but when you're a Disney star, the repercussions are much bigger. Jenette McCurdy's photo leak led to cancellation of her show Sam and Cat. McCurdy took to Twitter saying, "To anyone disappointed: I sent those pics to 1 person. You can connect the dots. Shocked someone would stoop so low. I just speak w/ candor."
Michelle Obama. After asking Obama then asked viewers to tweet about their healthy lifestyles using #letsmove on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the First Lady shared her own video which featured the President and Vice President jogging around the West Wing.
Marijuana. 2014 wouldn't be complete without mentioning the push for legalizing marijuana. Starting in January, months before elections and the legalization of marijuana in Washington State, Alaska (2015) and Oregon, polls found that 55 percent of Americans wanted marijuana to be legalized nationwide.
George Zimmerman. Of all our coverage, readers read about DMX wanting to get George Zimmerman in the boxing ring to beat the crap out of him. In an interview with TMZ, DMX did say he was concerned he'd be arrested for the damage he'd do to Zimmerman.
Atari. Once an urban legend, the burial site for the Atari video game E.T the Extra-Terrestrial was found by a film crew in Mexico. The games have since been auctioned on EBay.
