Authorities in Alabama are suspicious after a fire completely engulfed Dallas Cowboys linebacker Rolando McClain’s home.

The Associated Press reported that a fire destroyed the home owned by McClain Monday and law enforcement has become suspicious after a witness recalled seeing a car speed away from the scene.
Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Lt. Andy Norris said that suspicions are always raised when high-priced, vacant homes burn down.
The house is currently on the real estate market for $1.5 million.
A local FOX reporter tweeted out images of the blaze.

The 25-year-old McClain was drafted in the first round by the Oakland Raiders. After a series of off-the-field incidents and arrests, he was cut by the team in April of 2013. Following his release, he signed with the Baltimore Ravens but announced his retirement a month later. Last July, however, the linebacker decided to make a comeback and signed with the Dallas Cowboys. He has recorded one sack and two interceptions this season.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
