After a night of impressive performances that topped the charts on iTunes, the top five vocalists to advance in the competition were announced. Coach Blake Shelton made the comment last night that this was by far the best season of The Voice to date.
Opening the show was returning Voice contestant Christina Grimmie. She sang her first original song since leaving the show “With Love.” After that emotional and heartfelt performance, the first artist to be saved was announced. Moving forward to the top five was from Team Adam, Matt McAndrew.

Following the news of McAndrew advancing, who also charted on iTunes last night, it was reviled that Damien from Team Adam who performed “Somebody Like You” would advance to the top five.
Before the final three vocalists were announced, former Voice contestant, RaeLynn from Team Blake. She performed her hit “God Made Girls.”
The next artist to move forward to the semi-finals was Taylor John Williams from Team Gwen. Williams put his own unique spin on “Royals” by Lorde. Also advancing was Craig Wayne Boyd from Team Blake.

Now the last remaining vocalists were left to sing for their lives and to be instantly saved by America. First up with DaNica Shirey from Team Pharrell. Shirey sang, “I’d Rather Go Blind” by Etta James.
Also from Team Pharrell singing for his life was Luke Wade. Wade performed “Stand By Me” for his instant save song. Following Wade was Ryan Sill from Team Gwen. Sill put his rock spin on “Heaven” by Bryan Adams.
Last to perform was Chris Jamison from Team Adam who put his own unique spin on “Georgia on My Mind,” by Ray Charles. Following the conclusion of all of the performances, the instant saved was opened up to America.
After the results were calculated it was announced that round out the top five would be Chris Jamison. This sent home Luke Wade, DaNica Shirey and Ryan Sill.
Next week on NBC the top five will perform.
