Last night’s episode of NCIS: New Orleans, “Love Hurts,” had twists and turns aplenty and it was great to watch as the team worked together to figure out just what was going on with the case. The murder of Petty Officer Jonathan Bell takes a confusing turn when the team is unable to locate the woman he was about to propose to, Maria Garcia.
The man who admits to shooting him turns out to not be the one who made the kill shot and then to make matters even more confusing, it turns out Bell was targeted by a catfisher, or someone who pretends to be someone else online in order to enter a relationship. Did you follow all of that?
Meanwhile, we also got a glimpse into Chris LaSalle’s personal life, learning a little bit more about his brother, even though we still have plenty of questions about who he is. With so much going on and plenty of intense scenes on last night’s episode, there were plenty of moments that stood out, especially the rivalry between Patton Plame and Sebastian. Here are our top ten moments from “Love Hurts.”

10. Bruce
In a small moment as Pride and Brody are discussing a woman Drayer was seein on surveillance having dinner with, Pride calls the facial recognition software Bruce like Chris does. Brody is amazed that he does this and he replies, “When in Rome.”

9. Sebastian has a girlfriend
At the crime scene, Sebastian mentions that he has a girlfriend and Chris, in a high pitched voice, says, “There’s a girlfriend?” It’s a very short moment, but it’s funny to see Chris’ reaction to this revelation.

8. Sebastian and Pride
Sebastian and Pride end up having a heart to heart when Sebastian tells Pride just because he hasn’t met his girlfriend in person doesn’t mean he is being catfished. Pride asks him to talk to him and Sebastian admits it’s scary to meet someone, such as a girlfriend, in person. Pride tells him in his own way that you just have to take the chance no matter what.

7. Catfish
A twist in the case occurs when we discover that Maria Garcia is not an actual person. The young man, Marco Drayer, made her up and Rodney Abbott ended up becoming obsessed with Maria and sent photo shopped photos of himself with Maria, whose photos Marco had gotten off modeling websites.

6. Rivalry
At this point, seeing the rivalry between Plame and Sebastian is amusing, especially when Plame gets annoyed about Sebastian looking up conspiracy theories on the Yeti and the fact that he hasn’t seen his supposed girlfriend. When they get a hit on Maria, Sebastian tells him to track the IP, which he’s doing of course. Then they both say they will call Pride, even though Sebastian said it first.
The interactions between Sebastian (@RobKerkovich) and Patton (@darylchillmitch) are one of the best parts of @NCISNewOrleans. #NCISNOLA

5. Too easy
We all know by now that if someone confesses and there are still more than 40 minutes or so into the program to go, then this case isn’t that easy. In this case, a man confesses to shooting the victim because he was into his girlfriend. However, Loretta informs Pride that the man’s shots came after the victim was dead and that a .30 caliber bullet killed their victim.

4. Chris’ friend
We meet a friend of Chris’, who used to have Jonathan Bell’s job before he went to work for another admiral. His little boy is ill and Chris used to come visit at the hospital to see the kids. As they talk to each other during one scene, we get a glimpse into Chris’ life, hearing about a brother who has some issues of his own. We learn his brother is the reason he visited kids in the hospital because they made him smile.
Glad y'all enjoyed tonight's episode. We are sorry Arnaud's blew up. #NCISNOLA

3. Reveal
The team finds out that the ultimate goal was for the assassin to bomb a restaurant that would be filled with individuals who would put together a task force to put away drug cartels. The woman, Claudine Bouchard, had hired Drayer to get information from Bell on Admiral Hume’s activities to make the hit.

2. Fight
The entire battle the team faces to get everyone out of the restaurant safely is intense, especially considering they don’t know where Claudine is. Brody finds Claudine while Pride and Chris evacuate everyone. But Chris’ friend is still in the building and he runs back in to get him. As Brody and Claudine battle it out, Chris gets his friend out just as Claudine lands on the device to detonate the bomb in the restaurant.
Go girl!!!!!! Loved the fight scene!!!

1. Brother
It appears that Chris’ brother, Cade, is someone who doesn’t seem to stick around long enough for Chris ti know where he is. He finds his last known whereabouts were at a restaurant where he worked, but he left months ago. Chris leaves the restaurant without luck.
