It’s tough to be a princess, especially when your homeworld was just blown up by the Death Star. She might think the streets of New York City would be a good place to walk around to recover, but it’s not as peaceful as it seems.
A new parody of the now-famous Hollaback! anti-street harassment PSA from last month shows what happens when Star Wars’ Princess Leia walks the streets of NYC. She attracts all sorts of attention from men and even from other species.
Leia has to deal with catcalls from Jawas, a random guy in a Stormtrooper outfit insisting that he’s there to rescue her and a smuggler who keeps calling her “Your Worship.” There’s even this bounty hunter in armor who follows her for 12 parsecs. Darth Vader is sadly disappointed when his daughter ignores him.
Of course, this isn’t the first parody of Hollaback!’s PSA, which showed what happens when a woman walks NYC solo for 10 hours. One funny video shows what happens when you walk around NYC wearing a Jets shirt.
