The stars of Ghostbusters, one of the most enduringly successful comedies in film, came back together for the movie’s 30th anniversary.
The actors, including Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson, did a reunion photo shoot for Entertainment Weekly, according to Today. Some of the cast were even interviewed by fan and weatherperson of Today Al Roker on Wednesday’s show in a joint event with EW.
Among the actors Roker interviewed were Murray and Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, Annie Potts and director Ivan Reitman, according to Time. Aykroyd wasn’t at the interview, and co-writer and co-star Harold Ramis passed away earlier this year.
Today reported that Roker interviewed the actors about the rumored third film and the female-lead Ghostbusters film. “I say the money’s not right yet,” replied Murray. “It’s really hard to – to recreate something that was so beautiful, so wonderful.” Roker also asked about the slime used in the film, which Murray said the ingredients included corn syrup, starch, and even a type of insect poison.
The EW magazine issue featuring the Ghostbusters reunion will arrive on Friday, according to Today.
