'Days of our Lives' Weekly Recap - Week of 10/6-10/10

Sami made a startling discovery. John made a surprising move against Kristen and Theresa. Brady was given piece of mind. Caroline showed her support for EJ and Sami's reunion. Jennifer and Julie teamed up against Eve. JJ was more determined than ever to keep Paige in the dark about his father. Will saw how much Chad really hated EJ. Jordan and Chad continued to flirt. Rafe tried to warn Kate about her affiliation with Clyde. Stefano disowned EJ. Abigail and Ben enjoyed each other's company.

Sami met with Chad in the park about his hatred for EJ. She urged the young DiMera to forgive his brother, even mentioning that he took a bullet for him. Chad made his feelings for EJ clear; if something were to happen to him, he wouldn’t miss him.

Meanwhile, EJ got Stefano on the phone to confront him about Victor’s words earlier. Stefano was angry with his son for getting back together with Sami as she and Kate made the both of them look like fools to DiMera Enterprises. EJ defended his wife, but Stefano wouldn’t hear it. He brought up how he betrayed him by giving Rafe evidence that rendered him a fugitive. He disowned EJ as his son and hung up on him. EJ figured out Chad was the one who ratted him out and angrily confronted him as soon as he returned home.

JJ met with his Aunt Kayla at the pub, and she boasted about the wonderful job Paige has been doing at the hospital. He attempted to tell her she knew it was his father who raped her. As the meeting progressed, he found it difficult to tell her.

In the town square, Bev taunted Paige about JJ hooking up with a random girl at the party. Paige told her nothing happened, but Bev reminded her there would always be other girls and parties for JJ to be tempted. Paige then met with Kayla where Jack came up into the conversation. Kayla tried to deflect attention as Paige asked for more information about JJ’s father.

JJ dropped by Daniel’s apartment to see if he would be able to open up to the doctor. Again, he found it difficult to express what he was feeling. Later after meeting with Paige, he mistakenly feared she already knew the truth.

Jennifer enlisted a zen Julie to talk with Eve about JJ being a good influence on her daughter. She knew they were close at one time, and Julie was into seeing the good in people ever since she returned from her cruise. The conversation turned bad as Eve refused to listen to Julie and believed her daughter’s relationship wouldn’t last.

JJ was mortified when he believed Paige knew his father raped Kayla. He realized it was a misunderstanding, but still had no idea how to tell her so he covered his tracks. Later when they’re alone, things heated up between them, but JJ abruptly stopped it. He retreated quickly, leaving Paige confused and upset.

Kristen and Brady came close to kissing, but he pulled away and stood his ground. He told Kristen while he would always be grateful for her helping John, their relationship was over. She tried to argue, but he received a call from Marlena stating John wanted to see him and Kristen.

Brady had the restraining order against her lifted, and the two headed for the hospital. John offered his gratitude of her getting the drug that cured him. He then told her, Marlena, and Brady he remembered what happened the night he was attacked.

EJ confronted Chad about ratting him out to Stefano. Chad was cavalier, believing he was justified since EJ was the one who had an affair with the woman he was still in love with. However, EJ tried to get his younger brother to see that he had painted a target on him and his family. Chad refused to believe Stefano would do anything to hurt his children, as they were his life. EJ recounted what their father had done to their other siblings, even bringing up how he was indirectly responsible for the brain tumor that killed their sister, Lexie. Chad didn’t care and reiterated how seeing him squirm was making his day.

Sami went to see Will, as he and Sonny were planning a welcome home party for Sami and EJ’s kids. They kept things civil, until Sami mentioned she and EJ were back together. Will stated it was none of his business as it was their marriage, not his. Sami then discovered his notes for the article he was writing on Chad and flipped out. Will and his mother got into an argument that culminated with him throwing her out of his apartment.

John announced he was beginning to regain his memory, but asked Brady and Marlena to invite a few people first. Brady brought Kristen in, while Marlena asserted to Theresa that John wanted to speak to her. Theresa got a shock when she saw Kristen and Daniel with smiles on their faces when she entered the hospital room. Daniel went over his chart and told everyone John was progressing well.

John then requested the presence of someone from the Salem Police Department. Marlena retrieved Roman, who went over Brady and Theresa’s statements with the use of his tablet. John took the details in, while Kristen kept sending glares Theresa’s way. He finally stated he was ready to recall what he remembered from that night. Theresa privately freaked out, while Kristen and Daniel anxiously wait for him to point the finger at her.

Caroline arrived at the DiMera mansion with Eric after having learned Sami and EJ reconciled. She wanted to hear the news directly from her granddaughter. Sami declared her love for EJ, even though he hurt her by having an affair. Caroline was outraged at first, but Sami calmly reminded her Grandpa Shawn forgave her for having an affair with Victor. Caroline mentioned how Victor thought she was being judgmental about other people’s relationships, which is why she hoped Sami and EJ would make it work.

EJ and Eric spoke about the latter dropping the charges against Kristen. Eric voiced his opinion of EJ, stating he hated him for hurting his sister. He supported Sami’s decision, even going far as to bring their grandmother to a house she described as “evil.” Caroline and EJ made small talk about the children’s artwork before they leave. EJ was delighted to hear Caroline supported Sami. She informed her husband Will was writing another article focused on Chad.

Will saw how much Chad hated EJ when they met to discuss the article. When Will was against featuring the hatred between the two brothers, Chad reminded him the article would happen with or without him, before kissing the top of his head and leaving.

EJ visited Will, and he gave him his approval to write the piece on Chad. He had a specific request though: he was to keep Abigail’s name out of it. Will stated he missed having his cousin and his mother in his life. EJ told him he would work on it, and he would see him later at the party.

At the same time, Sami confronted Chad about ratting EJ out to Stefano. Chad called her out for being so easily forgiving because she missed having EJ in her bed. She proceeded to make the young DiMera squirm with hard truths - “Brother or no, you threaten EJ’s kids oh his wife, and he will kill you.” Chad claimed he didn’t mean to put the kids at risk, but Sami didn’t buy it. He went into the garden to get some air, while Sami smiled at his nervousness.

John gathered Daniel, Marlena, Brady, Kristen, Theresa, and Roman in his hospital room to reveal what he remembered from the night of his attack. In a surprise move that stunned both Kristen and Theresa, he affirmed Theresa’s version of events. He insisted he was the attacker, and Brady had no choice but to defend himself. Kristen was frustrated, while Theresa was relieved.

Kristen returned to his hospital room after expressing her gratitude that Brady had nothing to feel guilty about. She was alone with John when she accused him of knowing Theresa really attacked him. She believed he took the blame in a bold move to keep Brady from reconciling with her. It was a dangerous game he was playing that could easily put Brady at risk, but John sent her away. She was not giving up without a fight.

Abigail feared Chad was going to have Ben fired from the club just because he was dating her. Chad clarified he was voluntarily cutting down his involvement with the club, so Ben could continue working there without a problem. Abigail left the encounter believing she had judged him too harshly.

Ben and Jordan were at the club as Jordan made fun of her brother for being in love. He mentioned how Clyde offered him a job just as he walked into the club. Jordan left, while Ben continued to work. Later, Abigail was hanging outside the club waiting for Ben’s shift to end. The two shared a kiss as they were reveling in the beautiful Indian summer night.

Sami and Johnny were talking about Allie and Sydney taking too long to get ready for the party when EJ arrived home. Sami decided to change clothes while Johnny confided in his father about kids at camp making fun of his last name. EJ assured his son it had nothing to do with him; it was about his grandfather and him. It shouldn’t matter what people thought of his name. “Of course it does, Daddy. I got my name from you.” It was a sweet father/son moment that Sami happily watched from the doorway.

EJ and Sami parted ways as the children were picked up by Sonny to be taken to the party. Sami had errands to run, while EJ set up a business meeting with Miguel and Clyde. While Chad and Jordan were flirting in the square, Sami asked where EJ was. She frantically searched for him, while EJ confronted Clyde about expanding his business beyond his territory. Things got tense, and a gunshot rang out, leaving Sami to call out for her husband.

Sami kept trying to find a signal so she could call EJ. She left him a voicemail all while he was bleeding from a gunshot wound, courtesy of his henchman, Miguel. Clyde was shocked at Miguel’s actions as EJ hit the ground, motionless. Clyde instructed Miguel to take his belongings including his wedding band and covered their tracks.

Meanwhile, Sami continued to wander in the forest, even calling the paramedics after the gunshot was heard. She finally discovered EJ and went to work to revive him. She cried for him to open his eyes, which he did. He tried to speak to her, while she urged him to save his breath. She tried to get him to stop bleeding, even making a joke about her being his breathing coach. They professed their love to each other, and Sami promised if he pulled through, she would profess her love for him every chance she got. He slipped away as she began repeating “I love you” to him through tears.

Kate ran into Rafe outside the pub where she expressed her displeasure at Sami and EJ. Rafe expressed his own displeasure about her relationship with Clyde. She said it was none of his business while Rafe was only trying to warn her. He received a call about EJ as Kate assumed it was about work. He told her to mind her own business and left.

The paramedics, Rafe, and Abe arrived at the scene as Sami continued to scream for help. While the paramedics worked on EJ, Sami told Rafe what happened. They called the time of death while Rafe tried to get them to see the victim’s wife was right there. Sami refused to believe EJ was dead, claiming “he did this all the time.” She went into the ambulance with EJ, while professing her love some more. Rafe was stunned Sami wouldn’t accept the news. Abe understood, saying it would hit her really hard. He later worked the crime scene and called Theo’s babysitter about the news. He wanted to be the one to tell him about his uncle. “Who the hell could’ve done this?”

Jordan was upset with Chad when he slipped that he knew she had the day off because as a DiMera, he was able to find out anything. She stormed off, and Chad caught up with her to explain he was only joking. He asked her out to dinner because he enjoyed hanging out with her. She was taken aback, and while she didn’t give him a definite answer, she was charmed.

Sami and Rafe arrived at the hospital with EJ’s body as Rafe continued to explain the paramedics were taking EJ to the morgue. They waited in the community room where Roman eventually joined them. He comforted his daughter and questioned Rafe about the shooting. Sami told her father to pick up the kids from Will’s at it was getting late. Eventually, Rafe returned and allowed Sami to go see EJ.

Chad met with Kate as they expressed their plans were falling into place. It was clear that Chad had plans for other people, not just Stefano. Meanwhile, after talking with Sami on the phone, Stefano mourned the loss of EJ as he got confirmation of his death.

Roman dropped by Will and Sonny’s to inform the kids that Sami and EJ wouldn’t be coming to the party. Will asked his grandfather if everything was okay as his mother didn’t return any of his calls or texts. He didn’t say anything, but it was clear that something was wrong.

Sami saw EJ in the morgue and tried to feel around for a heartbeat. She put her head to his chest, and it finally sunk in that he was really gone. She clung on to him as she uncontrollably sobbed at the loss of her husband.
