Bob Dylan's new album 'Shadows in the Night' confirmed for 2015

Bob Dylan will be releasing another new album next year, as expected. The legendary singer/songwriter had teased a new release this past spring.

Although it doesn’t come out until next week, the AFP is reporting that Dylan’s latest Bootleg Series release includes a slip confirming that Shadows in the Night will be released in 2015. There is no other information on the note about the album, but it is expected to be a covers album with jazz and other standards.

Dylan hinted at the new album back in May, when he posted a new recording of Frank Sinatra’s “Full Moon and Empty Arms.” The song was posted on his site and accompanied by what appeared to be the album cover, which read Shadows in the Night.

This will be Dylan’s 36th studio album. It will be his first since 2012’s Tempest.

The “Like A Rolling Stone” singer’s holiday release this year will be the first-ever official release of the complete Basement Tapes recordings with members of The Band from 1967. It is the 11th edition of The Bootleg Series and will be released on Tuesday. You can get a six-disc complete set or the less-expensive two-disc sampler.
