One Direction announces fourth studio album 'Four' with free download of single 'Fireproof'

Much to the delight of their legions of fans, One Direction has announced a new album Four, will come out on Nov. 17.

The album is appropriately titled, as it’s their fourth studio album. On its website, the first single off of the album, “Fireproof” is available for free.

“As the band's song writing becomes more personal with each record, Four is set to be their most stunning yet,” said their record label, USA Today reports.

“Fireproof” is written by John Ryan, Jamie Scott and Julian Bunetta, in addition to Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne.

In the announcement on their website, the band wrote “We've worked incredibly hard writing and recording it whilst we've been on the road and we couldn't have done it without your support.”

One Direction is comprised of Tomlinson, Payne, Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik.

Four is the band’s follow-up to 2013’s Midnight Memories, which was the highest-grossing album of the year.
