Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka tie the knot in Italy, Elton John performs

Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka are officially married after two children and dating for over a decade.

A rep for the former How I Met Your Mother star confirmed the wedding, which took place in Italy on Saturday.

"We happily confirm that Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka were married in Italy in an intimate ceremony surrounded by their close friends and family,” the rep said, E! News reports.

It was certainly a glamorous affair, with Elton John performing and HIMYM producer and direct Pam Fryman officiating. They both wore custom made Tom Ford tuxedos.

Harris tweeted a single photo from the wedding, writing, “Guess what? @DavidBurtka and I got married over the weekend. In Italy. Yup, we put the 'n' and 'd' in 'husband'.”

When the Marriage Equality Act passed in New York in 2011, Harris and Burtka confirmed they had actually been engaged five years prior.

Harris and Burtka’s twins; Gideon and Harper, will turn 4 next month.
