George Clooney is opening up about his wedding to fiancé Amal Alamuddin, revealing it will take place in a few weeks in Venice, Italy.
The Monuments Men star revealed their wedding plans on Sunday while at an event in Tuscany, which the human rights lawyer accompanied him to.
“I met my lovely bride-to-be in Italy (and) will be marrying (her) in a couple of weeks, in Venice,” he said, Daily News reports.
It’s no secret that they will be exchanging vows in Italy, as their marriage license stated. The couple filed for the license in August, and it was posted outside of Chelsea Old Town Hall in London.
Before his announcement that the wedding will take place in Venice, it was widely speculated they would get married at his home in Lake Como.
Cloonet met Alamuddin last September at a charity event in the romantic city, and they’ve been dating ever since. Their engagement announcement shocked the world, as Clooney has previously said he wouldn’t marry again after his failed marriage to Talia Balsam.
