Time reported that the proposal took place during the second encore performance. In the crowd McCartney saw a pair of signs that were being held by John Dann and Claudia Rodgers. The signs read "I've got the ring and I'm 64" and "He won't marry me 'til he meets you." After reading the signs McCartney invited the couple on stage and Dann proposed to Rodgers. McCartney also sang a few lines from the Beatles single "When I'm Sixty-Four."

Dann spoke to Gannett afterwords and explained that in the moment everything happened so fast he had no time to think or be nervous. "It was so wild that I didn't even have a chance to get nervous," said Dann.

McCartney is currently back on tour and will be playing Chicago on Wednesday night.
