Lady Gaga, Tony Bennett surprise NYC students on last day of classes

Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett headed back to school. The duo made a surprise appearance at the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts in New York City Monday. Gaga and Bennett hosted a master class that took place at the school.

Billboard reported that Bennett is responsible for opening the school back in 2001. The school is located in his hometown of Astoria, Queens.

Bennett is known for usually attending the graduation ceremony of the students but because of his tour schedule he would not be able to this year, so instead, he surprised students and brought along Lady Gaga.

NME added that Gaga and Bennett talked with students and discussed a range of topics. The duo even found time to perform a few songs including "The Very Thought Of You." They also sang Cole Porter's "Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye."

This is not the first time that Gaga and Bennet have teamed up musically. Gaga was featured on Bennett's Duets II album and they performed side by side at the Robin Hood Foundation benefit gala back in 2011. Bennett and Gaga are currently in production on a jazz album.
