'Walking Dead' wins again with 15.7 million viewers for finale

The Walking Dead is not slowing down in the ratings. The season four finale drew in over 15.7 million viewers for the shocking finale.

Dead saw a 17% increase from last week's viewership and this finale saw a 26% increase from the finale last year, Variety reported.

The Walking Dead, which stars Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus and Lauren Cohan, is the highest-rated show on cable currently and the fourth season has averaged 13.3 million viewers an eposide.

LA Times reported that even though the season four finale was a strong showing for the AMC network it did not set a series record.

This finale also set records on Twitter activity. Dead was the No. 1 non-sports related program of the night on Twitter across all networks. The show had 1.01 million show-related tweets from 356,770 unique individuals.

Talking Dead, which is the after show for Walking Dead which is hosted by Chris Hardwick drew in a series record 7.3 million viewers.
