Every Sunday night viewers watch zombies take over the world and the Walking Dead on AMC. The post-apocalyptic has been a huge success for the AMC network in the ratings and now the show branching out either further. The Walking Dead about to become a mobile game.
The network announced that a mobile game based on the show will be available for fans as soon as October 2014, Variety reported. The game will be launched with the debut of season five of the Walking Dead.
AMC teamed up with Finnish games startup Next Games to create the game that will be available on tablets and mobile phones, Gamespot detailed.
AMC president Charlie Collier explained why they decided to work with Next Games, which was founded by the creators of the widely popular app, Angry Birds. "“We chose to team up with Next Games because of their outstanding creative and technical talent, as well as a willingness to re-imagine the unique and compelling world of ‘The Walking Dead,’ which has built a significant and passionate global fan community," said Collier.
