'The Voice' U.K. hits season low ratings with first live show

The Voice is heating up in the United States but overseas in the U.K. the show is cooling off. The Voice U.K. had it's first live show on Saturday night and the ratings resulted in a season low for the show.

The ratings for the BBC reality show drew higher ratings than last year's first live show but viewership decreased to a season low, The Hollywood Reporter added.

This first live show brought in 6.2 million viewers, which was down more than half a million from the previous show. These numbers did show a 2 million viewer increase from the first live show of last season.

Even with this ratings low, the overall viewership for the show has been steady. Most attribute that to the addition of coach Kylie Minogue. It is unclear if Minogue will be returning to the red chair for another season of the show because of her latest album and tour schedule. Voice representatives have expressed that they are still working with the singer to keep her on the show, Irish Examiner reported.
