Daniel Hashimoto, a Los Angeles DreamWorks animator, has the skills to turn his son into an Action Movie hero and used his talents to create a series of ingenious videos that have gone viral. He has helped his son gain a wide variety of superhero talents and even gave him a real lightsaber.
Hashimoto told the New York Daily News that his son, three-year-old James, inspired the videos as a tribute to his boundless imagination. “James doesn't watch TV or movies very much. We play tons of games with him throughout the day,” the proud dad said.
The animator created the Action Movie Kid YouTube channel, where he has posted 12 videos highlighting Jason’s skills. He can use a lightsaber, use a McDonald’s Play Place as a rocket and even jump through a puddle.
Most of his videos, which run 10 seconds, have scored over 100,000 views. The lightsaber one has garnered 558,000 views already.
Hashimoto has been with DreamWorks Animation for a decade and was a member of the animation teams for How To Train Your Dragon and Kung Fu Panda 2.
