Denver Broncos agree to sign Emmanuel Sanders

The Denver Broncos recently lost wide receiver Eric Decker to the New York Jets in free agency, raising concern for their No. 2 receiver position. This concern has been addressed though with Emmanuel Sanders expected to join the Broncos.

Sanders' contract has no details that have been disclosed as reported by Mile High Report. However, it has been speculated that Sanders is seeking a similar deal to Golden Tate, who signed with the Detroit Lions for $31.5 million over five years.

Other teams also showed interest in Sanders before he signed with the Broncos, according to NFL. These teams include the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jacksonville Jaguars and Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs were expected to sign Sanders as he reportedly made a verbal agreement with them.

Sanders is expected to fill the No. 2 void left by Decker, and the Broncos' receiving corps remains stable with Demaryius Thomas, Wes Welker, Andre Caldwell and Julius Thomas still in Denver. He caught 67 passes for 740 yards and six touchdowns in his final season with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
