Sales of Blue Swede's "Hooked On a Feeling" have gone through the roof following the use of the song in the new Marvel movie trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy.
"Hooked On a Feeling" sold over 2,000 downloads on Wednesday alone, which was a 700% increase in daily sales, Billboard reported.
The song's 2,000 digital sales copies gave the tune its best digital sales week ever and that was only after one day of sales. Back in 2008, the single sold 1,000 copies. Until now, that the was best week of sales for the group on the digital charts.
The familiar "oogachaka" chat can be heard in the trailer around the 1:30 mark and is repeated during the montage which features a variety of action sequences. The full song is heard for the last 20 seconds of the trailer.
Guardians of the Galaxy, stars Chris Pratt, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel and Zoe Saldana. Guardians will be released in theaters on Aug. 1.
The full trailer premiered early this week on Jimmy Kimmel Live, USA Today reported.
