Britney Spears' manager addresses rumors about Vegas residency

Britney Spears’s manager, Larry Rudolph, is setting the record straight and addressing rumors surround her Las Vegas residency.

According to Perez Hilton Brit’s manager opened up to Billboard about low ticket sales, lip-synching, and her new album.

Rudolph cleared the air about those pesky lip-synching rumors stating, “The idea is to get her pretty close to 100%. There might be some numbers where she’s full out dancing with a [vocal] track underneath her, but there won’t be any lip-synching across the board on anything.”

He also addressed reports that ticket sales for Ms. Spear’s Las Vegas show were not going well. Rudolph said, “It’s based on nothing, so we had to go on the offensive and put out correct information to counteract it. When we went on sale with our pre-sale, we sold out every single VIP package for all 16 shows. [Caesars] told us it was literally the best on-sale they’d ever had.”

Despite not having a title yet, Rudolph was able to disclose some details about Britney’s newest album. He said, “It’s so different from anything she’s done before. Will.i.am is executive producing it. After the ‘Scream & Shout’ exercise, which went so well, the public seems to really like Britney and Will together.” He continued, “There’s something about them that works. He understands who she is and what her audience wants. I really think of this as Britney’s ‘Ray of Light’ album—it’s kind of like that in a lot of ways.”

Billboard reports that the “Work Bitch” singer’s Las Vegas show opens December 27th. The show, which lasts 90 minutes, will feature 21 of Brit’s greatest hits as well as music from her upcoming album.
