Remember Spy Kids from ten years ago? Well, actress Alexa Vega is all grown up and now engaged to Big Time Rush singer Carlos Pena.
Pena made the announcement himself, posting a picture of Vega, 25, on Instagram leaning on his car door Tuesday. “My angel!!! @vegaalexa awesome road trip so far!! Now we just need to get back,” he captioned the photo. In it, Vega can be seen flashing her engagement ring.
Hours later, Vega posted her own Instagram announcement with a picture of Pena, 24. “Hello fiancé,” she wrote in the caption.
According to E! News, this will be Vega’s second marriage. She was previously married to Sean Covel, a film producer, for two years from 2010 to 2012.
Vega began appearing in films and TV shows back in 1993 and appeared in all four Spy Kids films, playing Carmen Cortez. She recently reteamed with Spy Kids writer/director Robert Rodriguez for Machete Kills, which hits theaters on Oct. 11. Vega has also recently appeared in an episode of Royal Pains and Big Time Rush.
