Lisa Robin Kelly, the troubled former star of That 70’s Show, has died at age 43. She had just checked into rehab earlier this week and died in her sleep at the rehab facility on Wednesday night.
TMZ, which spoke to her agent, reports that Kelly voluntarily checked into rehab and vowed to get cleaned up. “She had been fighting demons for a while and finally lost her battle,” her agent said.
The site’s sources say that she had been trying to beat her addiction to alcohol, but she recently fell off the wagon after another argument with Robert Gilliam, her estranged husband.
She was arrested for DUI in June and was also arrested for DUI in 2010. Between those two arrests, she was arrested for abuse in April 2012 and for assault in November.
Gillian had been convicted of domestic battery against Kelly in 2012 last month and served 35 days in jail and is on three-years probation. She filed for divorce and her current boyfriend took her to rehab on Monday. She fell into cardiac arrest Wednesday and couldn’t be revived.
She did have needle marks on her arms, but her boyfriend told TMZ that he took her to a hospital Sunday and staff had to test her blood. She had a .34 blood alcohol level at the time.
