Avril Lavigne is opening up about her relationship with fiancé Chad Kroeger, saying she likes that he is a romantic.
In the June/July issue of Nylon, 28 year old Lavigne gushes about the Nickelback frontman. "He's nice, and real, and kind," she said. "For me, it's about having a connection on a deeper level. Be romantic!"
She also explained that she wears her heart on her sleeve, and what you see is what you get in both her professional and personal life.
“I'm so transparent," she said, E! Online notes. "If I'm not being myself, I won't do well, and that goes for writing songs, work, relationships, everything. And if I'm not happy, people are going to know that."
Lavigne isn’t just planning a wedding, she’s also wrapping up her album, which is due out sometime this summer. She said of her new music, which includes new single “Here’s To Never Growing Up,” "Lyrically, I pushed myself to talk about different subjects I haven't talked about before. I didn't want to be so simple. I tried to really express myself and go deeper.”
