Some fans may have been excited over the news that Paul McCartney and the surviving members of Nirvana would be performing together at the 12-12-12 Hurricane Sandy benefit concert but not Courtney Love.
Love, the widow of the late Kurt Cobain and Nirvana front man, told TMZ that she was "not amused" about McCartney being involved.
She went on to reveal she would have preferred the late John Lennon saying, "Look, if John were alive it would be cool."
Love also wasn't happy with Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic for calling the show a Nirvana reunion because she said Cobain was the heart and soul of the legendary band, according to TMZ.
The Huffington Post reported about the upcoming performance earlier today quoting McCartney on being in the studio with Grohl and Novoselic.
"I didn’t really know who they were. They are saying how good it is to be back together. I said ‘Whoa? You guys haven’t played together for all that time? And somebody whispered to me ‘That’s Nirvana. You’re Kurt.’ I couldn’t believe it," McCartney said.
E! News notes that McCartney, Grohl and Novoselic only performed "Cut Me Some Slack."
